Gandhinagar

Trip: Bangalore > Pune > Lonavala > Mumbai > Gandhinagar > Udaipur > Ranakpur > Chittorgarh > Ajmer > Jaipur > Delhi

Gandhinagar was an unplanned stopover. We explored couple of hotels and settled in one that was on the far side. Actually nothing is far in this small diplomatic setup of a city twined to Ahmedabad.

Akshardham is the only tourist stop if you do not consider the abode of the newly appointed prime minister as a point of interest. We did cross the Vidhan Sabha which was ruled by Modi for last twelve years.

There are massive thermal plants at the bank of dried out Sabarmati. Given the structures in this city, they do look spectacularly large.

We moved out next morning quickly for Udaipur which was our next stopover on a long journey from Bangalore to Delhi.
